Black lacquered chinoiserie writing box, the interior with red lined slope and lidded compartments, handles to side, together with a Chinese jewellery box (2)
Writing slope: the finish appears worn on the lid, and has become bobbled/ textured. There are some small chips on the edges. One of the interior panels is missing the side hinges, there are some small lacquer losses along the edges. There is a key for the lid which seems to work.
Jewellery box: The lid is noticeably worn, bobbled, with losses of the lacquer. The interior lining is noticeably stained, some tearing, appears worn.
